Eve Online (stylised EVE Online) is a video game by CCP Games. It is a player-driven, persistent-world MMORPG set in a science fiction space setting. Characters pilot customizable ships through a galaxy of over 7,500 star systems, Most star systems are connected to one or more other star systems by means of stargates. The star systems can contain moons, planets, stations, wormholes, asteroid belts and complexes, tens of thousands of players interact in a single server where they explore, settle, and conquer countless solar systems. Players chose from hundreds of skills to train and create unique characters that specialize in business, piloting, politics, research or other fields. Participate in huge battles, work your way up the corporate ladder and manage billions of ISK, or wander through the galaxy as a lone wolf in this epic universe.
EVE Online server is populated by tens of thousands of players at any given moment. EVE Online is a truly unique MMORPG that offers players the freedom to forge their own paths. Players are thrown into a large galaxy with plenty of tools at their disposal including the ability to mine asteroids, construct vessels and goods, trade, sign contracts, and form corporations, just to name a few. The intergalactic police patrol some of the inner solar systems but most of the galaxy is not protected and players can be attacked and their ship can be destroyed at anytime. The only way to survive and prosper in New Eden is by joining forces through mutual cooperation with your fellow pilots. There are four major factions to chose from each with well developed lore and several ancestry and blood line options.
Amarr Empire - A deeply religious, authoritarian state. Structured as a theocracy, the Amarr are led by their Emperor whom they worship as a deity. The Amarr Empire is the largest force in the galaxy and controls 40% of the known solar systems.
Caldari State - The Caldari State is a union of several Mega-Corporations who control every aspect of society. The fierce competition between the ruling corporations maintains a system of meritocracy that has allowed this relatively small nation to rival the larger empires in both military and economic force.
Gallente Federation - The only true democracy in New Eden, the Gellente value liberty and human rights above all else. They welcome people of all cultures into their territory and thus are a very multi-cultural state. The only thing they are intolerant of is intolerance itself and so remain ever vigilant in the defense of their Federation and its ideals.
Minmatar Republic - Though they are the most populous people in the galaxy, the Minmatar prefer loose political ties. Many Minmatar clans have united to form the Republic but many remain enslaved in the Amarr Empire or have settled in Gallente territory seeking new opportunities.
